I love old window projects. I enjoy old window projects for the reason Astoria Grand that I love old windows. You can do so several issues with old windows and they add a lot of architectural interest to any space you put them in. This DIY pocklingt chaise lounge Window Cabinet project came about soon after a trip to Target when I saw a comparable cabinet. I thought it was really cute and I knew we could Astoria Grand make some thing related, but far more “us”, at household. The front of the cabinet reminded me of a window pocklingt chaise lounge and that is how our cabinet plans started.
For this cabinet, we applied an old window and some old, painted wood I picked up at a Restore Restyle Shop.
We measured the old window to come up with the measurements for our cabinet and began by developing the body of the cabinet.

I picked up these legs at a yard sale last year. Anytime I locate pieces I can use on DIY projects, I choose them up. I store them in our garage and when a project comes up, I “shop” our garage to discover the factors I need to have. I save so considerably funds this way and each and every piece I finish is special.
This is what the cabinet appears like from behind with the legs on.
The window did not want to keep shut all the way so we employed Astoria Grand the original lock on it for a “latch”. This is possibly my pocklingt chaise lounge preferred element on the entire cabinet.
To take benefit of the space inside the cabinet, we added a shelf with some much more scrap wood.
I painted the entire piece in Simplicity from Country Chic Paint pocklingt chaise lounge and then distressed it some with a sander. I pocklingt chaise lounge like that you can see the original gray paint on the boards peeking via the white paint.
I Adore this Target inspired window cabinet!
It is complete of character and would be fantastic subsequent to a sofa or can even as a bedside table!
