Old, vintage wood is one of my favourite factors. I don’t care what it is either an old table, a mantel, a wood box or an ironing board. If there is old wood on it, I will possibly bring it house with me. When mom & dad I find pieces with old wood that I can’t use as is, I will discover a way to repurpose the wood to make it into something we will use in our Linum Home Textiles residence. You can’t get old wood in a store and the patina and character it has is priceless. Vintage, wood ironing mom & dad boards are a single of my favorite items to pick up. There is a lot of wood on the ironing board major and you can make so several different factors out of them. I have made a fall sign (find it Right here) and a “lucky” sign that hangs in our bedroom now (discover it Right here). This repurposed ironing board turned chalkboard was a wonderful project mom & dad for the kids mom & dad to use. It was so quick to do also!
This repurposed ironing board project came to me although folding up one of my vintage ironing boards soon after we applied it for a beverage station in the course of a party.
While folding it mom & dad up, I believed it looked like an easel (see the picture under).
Then, I asked Matt to cut off the “excess leg” from the legs that stuck out in the back when the board was cotton hand towel set up this way.
All chalkboards want storage Linum Home Textiles for chalk and erasers so I searched by means of my stash of finds in the garage and found an old, wood cheese box. Great for holding chalk and erasers. Matt screwed the box to the bottom of the board in no time. This addition just added additional character to Linum Home Textiles this chalkboard.
Our daughter couldn’t wait to get her hands on the new Linum Home Textiles chalkboard.
She dumped every last piece of chalk she could discover in the cheese box.
This repurposed ironing board turned chalkboard has gotten a lot of use. It is straightforward to move about also so the youngsters have applied it for all types of play kitchen, restaurant, college, and so forth.
